Highlights of Dinner at Tiffany’s
GFWC Iron Mountain-Kingsford’s Fundraiser, Dinner at Tiffany’s, was held on April 14, 2018.
This formal dinner and dance took place at The Chippewa Club.
Bella Sera event
The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs will host its annual Bella Serra fall fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.
This year, Vicki Bourassa will perform throughout the evening. She does karaoke and welcomes sing-alongs.
Tickets are $25, which includes a chance at a grand prize of a Kashmir blue topaz cocktail ring valued at $500, donated by Erickson Jewelry of Iron Mountain.
There also will be an Italian pasta bar with red or white sauce. Wine and chocolate samples are included as well.
Many vendors will offer new products for the women to purchase. There will also be a money tree and a 50/50 drawing.
Tickets can be purchased at Julia Rose Creations, Erickson Jewelers, Frog Country Radio or at the door.

GFWC scholarship awarded
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs, or GFWC, Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women’s Club has announced Tia Bellmore of Iron Mountain as recipient of this year’s $1,000 scholarship. Bellmore is a third-year nursing student at Bay College. Funds raised at the Gal-A-Rama go to support the club’s annual scholarships. GFWC holds 83rd Annual Senior Tea
The Iron Mountain-Kingsford GFWC Women’s Club recently sponsored the 83rd annual Senior Girl Tea at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.
The event is for graduating senior girls from Iron Mountain and Kingsford high schools. This year’s theme was “Dream It, Believe It, Do It.”
Mary Stolze gave the invocation and coffee and tea were poured by Trina Allen and Julie Rittenhouse, which was served from two silver tea services. Punch was also offered as girls entered the tea.
The guest speaker for the tea was club member Denise Jacobs. Her topic was inspirational and motivational and was well received by the young ladies.
Music was provided, including a solo by KHS senior Gracie Fries.
Door prize drawings also were offered.
Event sponsors are LaVigne’s Green House, providing pink geraniums; Shirley LaVigne, club member; Econo Foods, providing tea cakes; and Jacobs Funeral Home, providing invitations.
Senior tea committee included president Louise Swope, chairwoman Pam L. Foster, Geri Tehako, Denise Jacobs, Pam King, Lana Frantz, Pam Edens, Alice Smith, Joanne Berutti and Betty Occhietti.
