Doors open promptly at 5 p.m. and the drawing for the sterling silver and 18K yellow gold amethyst ring will be held at 8 p.m.
Last year at Gal-a-Rama, approximately 160 ladies spent time shopping, enjoying pizza, wine and chocolate samples, pampering, along with participating in drawings.
The Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women’s Club is a nonprofit organization and this event is their major fundraiser each year.
Additional donations were also made for a $1,000 non-traditional scholarship to a Bay College West student, a $500 “Veteran Honor Flight” to Washington, DC, a $500 donation to a local school back-pack program that contains food for children in need for their weekend, and a $300 donation to Bay Cliff, a six week summer camp for physically disabled children up to age 17.
Sponsors that make it possible for the club to contribute back to the community include Slumberland, River Valley Bank, Kadd Family Dentistry, Jacobs and Erickson-Rochon & Nash funeral homes, CJ Graphics, Julia Rose Creations, Tadych’s Econo Foods and The Front Porch.
