The GFWC Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women’s Club has announced the charities that received funds from the 2015 Gal-A-Rama event.
The awards were given at a recent GFWC meeting. A $1,000 non-traditional Bay West College Scholarship will be made available to a woman applying for the scholarship this spring. A donation of $500 was given to the U.P. Honor Flight and also the local elementary school backpack project, which supplies supplemental food items to children in need.
The Braumart Theater restoration project received an additional $1,000 to help with this community improvement project and $300 was awarded to Bay Cliff Health Camp.
The Women’s Club would like to acknowledge all the attendees, sponsors, vendors, volunteers and club members who helped in anyway to make this event a success.
The club also would like to acknowledge the following businesses and professionals for their continued support in helping the GFWC Iron Mountain-Kingsford Club in sponsoring this community event.
